New Tweaks 2.3 -- speed up SD card?

The new Tweaks2k2 has a tweak that would speed up memory cards...does it work? anyone tried it yet?

If it's the one that involves changing the block size from 64 to 128 or 256... I haven't noticed any differences, speed-wise. It's exactly the same, or even a tad slower (107-113KB/s tweaked versus 117KB/s untweaked) in my experience.

Well, probably your SD Card is too fragmented. I did some tests before I included this trick in Tweaks2k2 and it does speed sd card.

Given that was AFTER I'd reformatted the card and copied stuff over... I honestly can't say it did much for me. I ran the tests one after the other, and averaged 3 tests to get the results - basically I ran the speed test before I did the tweak, then after the soft reset ran the tests again post-tweak. Maybe it was the card I was using (TwinMOS).

I benchmarked it with PM2 and found it improved transfer speed on average about 5%.

In that case, I don't see much point in the tweak yet... at least with the cards I've had here (supposedly 133x speed, but they're consistently outperformed by my Kingston Elite Pro which is supposed to be 80x). Maybe if I was still running the Kingston Elite Pro, it might do more for me.
