Reading News Offline

Hi All,

I have been scanning the forums, but have not quite been able to get what I want working. I have a X51v connected to the internet (wirelessly) and want to load up the contents of a new site (text ony) and read it on the train in the morning (offline).

The news is found at: http://www.theage.com.au/text/

How can I sync this for offline reading each day?

Avantgo sucks and I have loaded pRSSreader but I don't think it is quite for this.

Thanks

Srijuth

srijuth. Sorry, I don't have an answer for you, but the exact same question. I want to do the same thing with a few local papers. They will all sync to Avantgo, but I just can't stand that program. I also got the pssreader freeware (thanks Solsie) but it does not recognize the newspaper sites. Is there any good program that will recognize the same feeds as Avantgo?? And can anyome recommend some good rss feed sites??

I have tried several options; Avantgo, Rss, mobi pocket, mobile favorites, ect...Even though I really am not a fan of Avantgo I always return to it because it is relatively user-friendly, usually gets the info I need and has a small download time.

JournalBar works for many news sources, loading them in cache for later viewing. The extended version includes The Age national feed. Trial version came from Dell, but you can try it from OmegaOne's site, too.

Thanks, Renbud. I am going to check out webaroo. It looks pretty cool, although a bit limited in content, maybe??
