Yahoo brings a new application for PPC to synchronize data!

I don't know if this was posted before, I searched it but couldn't find it .

Yahoo is providing a new tool to be used in PPC/SmartPhone with Windows mobile, it's named Yahoo Go, the link is here:

http://go.connect.yahoo.com/go/mobil...nload=pocketpc

I have tested it and it works fine in my X50V WM2003SE, it get data from yahoo as email, calendar, address book, pictures, tasks, and put it in the defaults applications of your pocket PC, now I can read the Yahoo mail in Pocket Outlook with this

Yeap, this is different, the program get the mail from yahoo and put it right into Pocket Outlook, the premium account is needed for POP access, but this is not POP access (which is great because in my office, the firewall won't let POP access but with Yahoo Go I can get the e-mail at my office through the firewall without problems), you also can compose a new message in pocket outlook and send it using the yahoo account , the same applies to the Address Book, the Photos, the Calendar, Tasks, etc. I used it this morning and now in my Yahoo account I have all the info from my PPC, the task are now in Yahoo as well, also the pictures! It's a great tool and it's free!

Wow!
I didn't know Yahoo had a light version of their email site.
Now, I can actually check my mail.
Thanks for the link!

The only bad thing is, its like 2mb and it overrides the option to get installed to my cf card.

But maybe if you manually move the folder, and edit some reg strings or something...

That is Great news!!! I was waiting that program since Feb when I got my Axim.

I can sync calendar without PC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am happy!!!!

Unfortantly:
1. it cant sync Notes. So I think I will use task for short everyday notes.
2. It cant synchronyze folders except Inbox. Looks like some bug in program because that feature exists in menu. But it was even good becase I have removed accidently all my e-mails from Inbox for last 3 days when I played with this program. So I have removed e-mail sync from service list and will still use my QMail3 that allows remove e-mail from ppc but saves on the server.

Anyway I am happy with that program. Hope the developing will not stopped.

So far no good! I've tried the ActiveStink and the cab. install and neither appears to want to work. Plenty of free memory also. Will keep trying as it looks cool.
