UPX4PPC List the programs that work with this application

UPX4PPC is a very nice application that compressess .exe and .dll files. I want to maximize its usefulness. I found this post listing files that work and do not:
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/557750-post97.html

If others can list what works for them this could be a great refference. I will experiment and list my finds here. I hope others will too.

well it worked for resco apps.. but the compressed dlls cause all sorts of display problems

If you are going to use this it may cause problems that with your apps.
do it 1 at a time and remember to backup
This week I have been mostly listening to..... Short cummings audio

The latest version of UPX4PPC seems to work a lot better than previous versions did, and it has a function to backup the programs to a zip file.

Works really well with Minimo, makes it a lot faster to load.
Works with Opera, compressing the Dll.
NoviRemote works, as does Egress and HaaliReader. I've done a load more but not any other really mainstream programs.

In general exes work fine, and dlls mostly do but you should only try one at a time and thoroughly check the program that uses the dll after you do it.

More recent developments in paper-based technology include improved ‘write-once’ update devices which use tiny rolling heads similar to mouse balls to deposit colored pigment.

Be careful using upx it compresses exe and dll while in storage but since the decompressor is added to the respective exe. & dll's when the program is loaded it uses much more RAM. A perfect example is netfront which uses about 2- 3 megs of ram uncompressed which increases to around 7 - 8 megs under max compression.

I could never get it to work with netfront or minimo. These are on my cf card, so it dont really matter.
I never did any backups, and everything seems to be working fine. I did do a backup afterwards and i saved a couple megs of main memory.
