SK Tools

OK, I know SK Tools can do this (I have the latest 3.0 version). I have been trying to figure out how to schedule SK Tool sto do routine maintenance at regular intervals. Can someone please show me how to access that feature, because I cannot find it anywhere.

You need SKSchema for that, from what I recall.

SKTools will schedule an automated and unattended cleanup on a daily basis without SKSchema.

Go to Tools/Settings/Automation in V 3.0.61.0.

How what?

Start up SKTools, at the bottom is View and Tools, tap on Tools. This brings up a menu, the top of which is Settings. Tap on Settings. This brings up a window with tabs at the bottom. The second tab from the left is Automation. Tap on that. This brings up options, each of which can be tapped upon and set. Near the bottom (scroll down) are the scheduling options.

Whoa! Sounds complicated.
Important safety tip: Don't cross the streams.

Undoubtably part of the improvements to the user interface

Thanks AKAJohnDoe. That was just what I was looking for. Still, with all of the improvements, you would think they would have moved that closer to the main page. It is kind of buried for such an important feature.

is it me? sktools does amazing things, but the interface is not the most friendly. In some cases, it allows you to easily do things that will be very difficult to undo, and in other cases you have to drill deep to do things that are not only benign, but of great benifit to the casual user.

I completely agree, DeeCee. SK Tools is much more robust than, say, MemMaid, but MemMaid has a much more intuitive interface. It shows you things graphically and makes it easy to do easy things and hard to do things that can cause perm. damage.

Although, this rendition is a HUGE improvement over the previous interface.
