I have x51v W/SPB backup. I install almost all my programs on the SD card in the unit.

#1. I want to upgrade the SD memory card(that is installed in my x51v) to a larger size- can I just copy the data on the old card to the new card on my PC and reinstall in my x51v?

#2. I recently purchased an x51 - can I take the orignal SD card (that has a recent spb backup) and just install in the x51 and restore - will this save me the hassle of installing all my programs.

I have only limited knowledge, please correct me if I am wrong:

#1: Not tried but most likely yes.

#2: Unlikely, since there are registry entries and many other data stored in the main memory rather than the SD card. Even if it runs, settings may be lost. Also note that x51 is not VGA while x51v is, so program compatibility could be a concern; and of course you would want to see whether you need another licence for apps that are not free.
