Resco Explorer is the best. If you want free then choose Total Commander. There is not really any competition to those two.

Welcome aboard.

I'll second Total Commander, and I also recommend GSFinder. Both of them are free.

to Aximsite. Take a while to look at the forum stickies. There is a wealth of info located there. Even a thread or two about must have programs including best freeware sticky under applications. Finally, check out the MPDAs, there are some great setups located there as well. After you get your file manager up and running, I'll guarantee you'll start looking for other things to put on your ax.

Good Luck and have fun.

I like gsfinder better, b/c it has a similarity to xps explorer, including some icons.

Where total commanders screenshots look dated.

I'm using Resco because it came with my Ax free. But the customer service for them really made me angry. I was using the program for over a year when I noticed an Upgrade option. So I hit it, and Resco File Explorer did infact upgrade from 5.0 to 5.2. It told me that I have xxx-days to purchase and register. So I contacted Resco customer support and asked for a key, which they would not give me on the basis that the software was provided free of charge. So Resco File Explorer locked itself, and the only way to get it back was to hard-reset the device and install the old version from the CD. Even an uninstall did not help.

I've never heard of a software company that charges for minor-version upgrades to its software. Furthermore, I seriously doubt that they just gave the software to Dell without any compensation. I'm pretty sure that Dell wrote them a check, making the software paid for, and thus eligible for upgrade.

So, it's decent software, but the company stinks.

Are you doing this in Total Commander? When I hold down the file(s), the only Send and Receive options are via InfraRed
