Hello Folks!

I have had a search around the forums for information on printing from the Pocket PC but some of the topics have been abandoned so never really found out what people use.

I have had a hunt around but am not totally sure on what I am to go with.

HP Mobile Printing - Some topics surround this not working with Windows Mobile 5.
PrintBoy - Expensive and lacking in features?
JetCet Print - Unsure on this although the same company do ClearVue but others have mentioned this being rather slow.
ActivePrint - Not too sure on this one?

Some of the products require that some drivers be installed on the Desktop machine and then once connected via ActiveSync is when the items will print but really I wanted something which could work independently.

Your views greatfully received,
Kevin

I gave up on that long ago. Just transfer the file to your PC and print there. I hope that you're not saving in Pocket Word/ Pocket Excel format.

I agree with DotanChoen - You should just transfer the file, or email, to a pc and print from there. I have never been able to tweak files to print directly from the my dell.

I never save anything in pocket pc format, too many issues with formating on the other end.

I did wonder about the Pocket PC issues although in the past anything I have typed in has been in note format ready for me to copy and paste into a full document.

Are there any improved office applications that can be used on the Axim?

Kev.

I use HP's software and it works like a charm. I've never had any problems with it. Now granted, I don't have WM5 but I would just try them out (they should all have free trials, with the exception of HP; which is free) and see how you like them.

If you need the HP software, look in myPDA. Also, I would install the HP software to SD/CF since it does take quite a bit of room. Some files will still be installed to RAM, like dll's and such, but the rest will go elsewhere.

Icon14 ClearVue

Hi,

I'm running the big ClearVue Professional package.
Gives printing from all the major office applications (Word, Excell and PowerPoint) the printing part for PDF documents gives problems for me on my HP LaserPrinter but otherwise I can recommend it - expensive but easy to use.
