Weatherpanel moon phase problem
For some reason, recently Weatherpanel on my X51v has been showing only 0% or some ridiculous negative number. As of today it should be displaying a 99% full moon, but the moon icon shows a new moon. It's almost as though it's displaying the opposite phase of what the moon should be. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it is running in main memory, not a memory card. Everything else seems to be working correctly in WP, so I'm stumped!

Solved it...or rather the kind folks at www.weatherpanel.net. Check this thread here
There was an error in the the Weatherpanel.dll, so one of the members, storyr, examined the dll and discovered that by regenerating moonphase data and importing it into the weatherpanel.dll got it working.

With kind permission of its modifier, Storyr, from an independent Weatherpanel forum, I am providing a replacement weatherpanel.dll that should fix the moonphase calculation problem. As I mentioned in my post above, Storyr provides instructions on how to do this. They are as follows:
Installation instructions: 1. On your device, go to Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Today. Open the Items tab and uncheck WeatherPanel. 2. Dock your device and browse to \Program Files\MarsWare\WeatherPanel. 3. Make a copy of WeatherPanel.dll (or rename it), then unzip and copy the new WeatherPanel.dll to the same location. 4. Go back to your Today settings (as in #1) and recheck WeatherPanel. NOTE: You may get a message about running a program from an unknown source. Be sure to OK this (it's a one time deal). Thanks to Storyr and his group for solving this!

Which version of ActiveSync are you using and on what OS? I can easily see virtuall all files if I use the Explore feature of my AS 4.2 app on XP Pro.
BTW, if you open up the Explore page, check the Tools-->Folder Options-->View tab of the folder desktop-side, and make sure you have "Show hidden files and folder" checked, and the "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" unchecked. That may be why you can't see all files on your Axim. Hope this helps!

One more thing...I've informed that this DLL fix will ONLY work for the Weatherpanel registered version 2.5.1.
There is a trial version 2.5.1 that isn't compatible with this fix either. An updated trial version 2.5.1 that is compatible can be found at PPCGeeks.com.
