Question SKTools Backup issues - since upgrade?

Since upgrading SKTools to version 3.1.1.0, I can't backup my x51v (WM5). At first, it was auto backups that didn't happen, or at least seemed to be aborted mid-process. Then, I tried to do manual backups, but they also do not complete. I get the briefest flash of an error message that says something about unable to mount on SD drive, then something about delete a long file name such as $$$$$/19969-something-something. (I can't tell if I'm supposed to delete something, or if it wants to delete it, but can't.) Also, soft resets always end up with the built-in Search function for some reason, even when I kill it thru iLauncher before the reset.

I emailed SK folks just now, and am awaiting their wisdom. Anyone else with similar problems?

Thanks!

I have Windows Mobile 5.0 and SKTools, but I have not had any problems with full system backups or partial backups. I am sorry to hear about your problem though. Rest assured, someone on this list will come to your rescue with a fix. This site is awesome.

I hope things turn out well.

Did you try backing up to a CF card? If it works, you might have a corrupt SD.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

jhom, you were close. The card was at fault. I MAY have had the write protect on, but I ended up reformatting the card anyway. (Gave me a chance to get confused all over again about how to optimize the settings for the format.)

Anyway, all's well again!
