Last Night I downloaded Journal Bar on my Brand New Axim, and it doesn't display any information. The internet 'e' just continuosly blinks, never getting any info, even after a couple hours. I have accessed the internet on the Axim through the USB connection and my dialup service with no problems. Anyone have any helpful hints, I would really like to get this thing working, especially since I just purchased it. I emailed Omegaone with no reply. Thanks in advance.

I tried it a week ago and couldn't get it to work on my 2K3 Ax. However, I did reinstall yesterday and now it works-go figure. What version are you using?

Make sure that you're connected to the internet before connecting your Axim. I don't know if that's the promblem but maybe it'll help.

Mine works fine. did you tap the flashing icon? Did you scroll through and see if anything came through? Sometimes one of the sources is down and doesn't update but I always get most topics updated.

Yep, Ive tried that. It looks like its downloading, but it'll just set there for hours and not get any content. When I click on Onion or Apple, I just get the internet access screen, I think movies and TV do the same thing. The scroll arrows don't do anything. They click down, but the menu doesn't change, can't see weather options or anything. Ive tried deleting and reinstalling, Ive tried redownloading and reinstalling. Still have the same results...

try going through the configuration and make sure that all of the things that you want displayed are checked off. you are connected to the internet while trying to update the data , right?

Tried that. Yes, I'm connected to the internet.

Have you tried a soft reset? Oh yeah, did you install into your main memory and not a card?

Thats really odd. Mine works fine. What version do you have? Omega One is generally extremely responsive too. They have been known to put out a version a week when fixing things mentioned by users.

I have having similar problems with Journal Bar on my new Axim PPC2003. I have gone through the suggestions in all of the previous messages and still the only info that shows on the jouranal bar space on Today screen is "...this product is a demo, etc".
When I try to update, it shows the little house on the left, and then goes to an exclamation point. The weather feature is what I really wanted ... bummer

I had the same problem. I uninstalled WisBar and it started working flawlessly!

I installed into the main memory. Ive tried resetting it, I left it for a day and tried it in the morning/evening. I just got my Axim this weekend from Dell with PPC 2003. I downloaded Journal Bar on Monday from Handango. The only other application I had is Battery Bar. Last night I installed a demo weather program called ADBweather2002, it recieves updates from the internet and works flawlessly. I also emailed handango about the issue, and they have not responded either.

I noticed we are both having trouble with journal bar and both also just received our new axims. Is there a reason that it doesn't work with the new Axims with PPC2003? Coincidence?
(BTW, ADBWeather also works fine on mine)

Omega One's 'Journal Bar' and 'Battery Pack' have been on the not-compatible-with WM2003 since WM2003 was released. They're working on it, just keep checking their site for updates.

Update: Battery Pack is now compatible, and renamed Battery Pack 2003 (current version is 5.0.6).
