up loading to axim

Hello
I have my axim set up with my desk top at home and my lap top at work. I seem to have a problem uploading to my axim from my desk top. I was tring to upload an excell file and it would not go. But when I did it from my laptop it went right away. Now I am at home tring to get my wireless net work set up and cant get my axim to connect. One thing in the Dlink instructions it to go to settings then systems and click on the dlink icon. There is not dlink icon there. I am assuming the reason I cannot connect is that nothing is being uploaded to my axim from my desk top. Should I uninstall then reinstall the activesheld?? I have not tryed to upload the Dlink drivers with my laptop as it is at work.
Any ideas? I use my axim at home the most when connecting to another computer or shal we say I was but was having problems connecting to my laptop at work and redid the activesheild in both and have not used it at home untill now. I will be using it more at home than work so I was thinking I have to change some settings or reinstall it. Sorry this is so long but I am a newbbie and want to give you as much info as I can.
Thanks for any help.

whoa.. More details needed

You're uploading through ActiveSync via explorer on the PC?

This is all being down via wireless?

Can you establish parterships? When you say it "doesn't go", how far does it get?

What is the WLAN topology?

I am uplading threw activesync not wire less. I actually copy and pasted my excell item into the desk my desk top folder that activesync sets up. From what I gather it shoudl upload to my axim when synced but it does not. That is from the desk top at home. I did the same thing on my laptop and the excell folder went right into my axim.
I have not been able to get my axim to go wireless. I am assuming its because what ever I have to install from the install disk is not making it to my axim. Like I mentioned before accoring to the dlink instructions I should go to the dlink icon on my axim to set some thing up ( I cant remember what at the moment ) but there is no icon on my axim so I am assuming that its not able to upload. As far as wlan I have no idea what that is.

ok. I never use the file synchronization, which is what it sounds like you are using. But have you ensured that it's enabled on both AS installs? Sounds like maybe it's just one.

WLAN = Wirless LAN.

Putting the DLink driver into the file sync folder WON'T install it. Connect your PPC via AS and then run the driver on your PC. It will then install it to the PPC.

Check the instructions for the DLink. I'm 100% sure that it will not ask you to upload via the file sync.

no it does not ask to upload the drives. I have my axim connected to my desk top and then followed the directions on the install. I am thinking there is a problem with teh sync so it is not getting to my axim.
I dont know but I am going to reinstall activesync and see what happens
THanks every one for there help.
