Question Help with Storage Tools or Flash Format

Does anyone have any idea if either Storage Tools v1.5 or Flash Format 2.5 works with the new 2003 OS?

I'm looking at these and have been unable to determine if these will work or not. I checked Hanango for info but none of the documentation suggests that they will work.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

the white papers and specs of 2003 say it is backwards compat with all 2002 software....

but then again, have heard that song and dance before.

I've not had a good experience with Storage Tools 1.5 and WM2003. See my post ---> http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...5&pagenumber=3

I couldn't get either Flash Format or Storage Tools to format my 128 or 32 meg storage cards. Both programs said they could not get exclusive access to the card. The programs seemed to run fine, I could do everything in the UI, except the actual formatting.

I found a German Freeware program that worked. It's simple and very basic but it worked.

Edit: Should mention that I have an Ipaq 2215 rather than an Axim.

This is the best format program I have found so far! Flash Format and Storage tools would fail every time or always give me an error saying it could not have exclusive access. And best of all the german one is free!

uhhh....anyone have a translation of that page, or tell me what the heck I should download? I'm using the demo of Flash Tools, but I'd prefer a proggie I can load into the programs launcher on my front page.

Does anybody know of a good app that defrags CF and/or SD cards from your desktop PC? Preferably freeware.

Terrific, thanks Carld. I was worried for a minute I'd have to figure out how to read German again. Turns out they have an English language option.....what a relief!
