My Mobiler - New Remote Viewer

Taking a little time off to surf freewareppc.com and came across this new ap.

My Mobiler

The description on the website:

Description:
View your mobile screen and control with your keyboard and mouse.

My Mobiler provides:
- View your mobile screen on your desktop.
- Control your mobile by using desktop keyboard and mouse.
- Copy/Paste text between mobile and desktop.
- Capture mobile screen.
- Drag and files to your mobile.
- Requires ActiveSync connection.

I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm DL now. They say it will go full screen and you copy and paste. I'll report back.

Thanks for the heads up. I just gave this app a try and I'd have to say it works pretty darn well. Supports VGA too. The only negative I could see was that it was a little slow responding to mouse clicks; however, that could be due to me running activesynch over BT. For a free app, you can't go wrong. I'll be keeping this one.

It seems to work great and is faster than the MS remote display that I have been using.

It did not work for me. It locked up my x50v (with WM2003SE) and a soft reset would not work. I ended up doing a hard reset and then restoring from my last Sprite backup.

I have noticed two bugs.

1. my screen gets messed up occassionally. Clicking somewhere on the screen restores it.

2. just now it looks like my computer got stuck, but it wasn't. I push the startmenu key on my PC keyboard and the startmenu on the x50v was activated!I was able to disable the software in the system tray and then it was gone.

At the moment I cannot reproduces the screen. I have to wait until it happens again.

Was it sort of a black/white scrambling, sort of hortizontal lines in places?

i've used it with both a star trek smartphone and my axim. The smartphone worked fine, but it did not have all the functionality since it is not touch screen based. I'm tinkering with the settings now to see if I can get full function from the keyboard. When I quit I got a black screen on the smartphone with one or more areas highlighted, when I activated the phone from the phone's touchpad, the screen would slowly redraw and everything worked fine from there.

The Axim setup seems to be fine, but there was some screen garble when it was first installed. I do need a screen refresh when disconnecting using the PC tray icon.

It seems to be natively faster than the microsoft remote display but does slow down when you have alot of programs running, even on a dual processor, dual core system.

It handles rotated screens nicely

Yep, that's one type I saw.
It usually manifests itself after I initiate a disconnect.

I think it doesn't work for VGA when using WM2003SE.

It says
Display: 240x320 (16)
(Before someone suggests upgrading to WM5 - I can't. I need WM2003SE to be compatible with software for work.)

I also get the scratchy screen breley posted. Happens when I am forced to disconnect because the MyMobile app prevents my mouse from going to my 2nd monitor. Then I have to launch an app that rewrites the whole screen (like PDASudoku) to get all of the effects removed.
