Question Start Menu issues

I was wondering if anyone has come across this. I went to use my axim this afternoon, and when I tap on the start button for the pull down screen nothing happens. I have had my axim since march and never came across this. Everything else works fine on the screen. I tried realigning the stylus, did a couple soft resets and still nothing. The funny thing is it was working fine this morning. If it makes any difference, it is an Axim advanced running PPC 2k2.

Well I called Dell customer service this morning at 6 am. I was on hold for about 5 minutes and got a technician. I told him the problem and what I have tried so far. He wanted me to do a hard reset and first had me do a backup, which made me nervous since I don't have a memory card to back it up too and I have heard of the problems doing a backup using activesync. Well, I did the backup, and the hard reset and it worked!!! I have a start menu again. The tech walked me through the restore and everything that was on before the hard reset is there again. This is my first dealings with Dell customer support (first problem with my ax) and I have to say I had no complaints. Guess I am one of the lucky ones.

Well I spoke too soon. My start menu lasted about 10 minutes. It stopped working again. So far I have done three more hard resets and it keeps happening. The only thing I can guess is it is a software problem and when I backed up the axim befor a hard reset, it is copying the problem. I guess I will have to give Dell a call again. The only thing I have installed within the last two weeks is I installed taskplus last week, but I haven't had any problems until yesterday.
