Anyone know of software to turn Axim into a modem
I how have GSM/GPRS on the Axim and it works great. I have been looking for software to run in it to allow a connected laptop take advantage of the connection. I am either looking for proxy software or something that would make it act like a modem via the IR to the laptop. Anyone seen anything like this ?

The IR is the weakest link there. The Axim is not known for good IR. I think you can get a serial cable that connects to the same port the usb cable uses and then you can connect with RS232. I saw a long message on one of the GPS groups about that very thing. This fellow had connected his Axim to an external GPS device not designed for the AXim and transfered the messages via RS232 to the "I think" mapopolis software on his Axim. So search the GPS discussions here and on the GPS vendors sites etc and you will find the information.
