I was wondering if there's any software for the Axim out there that simulates an actual Windows desktop with icons. I'm getting tired of the typical today screen. Thanks!

There are lots of programs that put icons on the today screen. I use "launcher", other people use tdlaunch or batterypack.

There are other programs that put weather information on the screen, various background and pictures, your upcoming tasks and appointments, etc.

Search this board for a very long thread called "show us your today screen" and you will see lots of examples.

I guess you are looking for something like PocketWin? It looks a bit like the Windows XP. Personally, I never tried it, but there are plenty of people around here using this software.

PocketWin does emulate the XP desktop as a Today Page replacement. It however is in a development phase and is not fully functional. The developer is working on enhancements as we speak
