App Wanted

I am an Industrial Compressor Tech. I have to log several readings such as pressures, temps, engine hp, rpm etc..... I am looking for a app that I can map the fields as needed and then plug in my info. Currently I log all of my info in my P.I. Journal. I need to speed this process up a little and be able to access this info when needed.

Anything more than excel will require programming in Flash or eVB, etc. The results could be sent to a db and reports could be run against the db. Do you have wifi access where you work?

I don't have wifi because I am a field tech. I am in refineries most of the time, and can't good hot spots to support wireless. I'm trying to find an alternative to excel. Besides having to input all of the info in my pi journal the only drawback to using it is I can't perform a search using the equipment number and pull up any history without opening pi journal list. I don't know if there is apps that are this flexable or not. Im just looking to see what options are available
If you can't fix it, get a bigger hammer.

You might be able to find another app with the functionality you need. The fields would be labeled differently, of course. Other than that, you've entered the custom app zone. You might get lucky on the Flash MX forum.

Exclamation

Just my two cents.

I am an equipment tech for a semiconductor company and I use excel to do computations and keep data till I have a chance to down load it to the computer system.

Works great, I have a different spreadsheet for different tasks that I perform routinely.

Cassio BOSS -> Palm IIIx -> Palm IIIxe -> Casio E125 -> Axim X5 -> Axim X51v -> ?
