Question eWallet?...FlexWallet?

Was curious if anyone has experience with either or both of these programs...pro's/con's, likes/hates?? For instance, eWallet allows for alpha-numeric passwords..does Flexwallet? Stuff like that. I'd be interested in your opinions.

I use FlexWallet and I really like it. I'd never tried out the other products to compare. But this guy did .

I tried both and bought eWallet. Both (and others) offer free trials. Your best bet is to try those you are interested in and not rely on the preference of others. Recommendations are great if you have to immediately lay out $$$, but if you can try it before you buy it, IMHO, trying is best.

Why not try Password Safe which is Freeware and is compatible with both Windows and PPC?

I use eWallet and like it a lot. I can't compare it with anything else - it was the only one available when I bought it, and it has worked fine, so I've never needed to try any alternatives.

I'm an ewallet person, myself, but here is one of the best comparisions I've read:

http://www.jenneth.info/archives/000049.html

Take time to let it load, she's got a large number of screen caps.

EWallet's newest version lets you set up your own, generic cards, which is an improvement over previous versions. It does what I need, so I haven't looked further.

Good luck in choosing! Having one is a very good idea.
What if this weren't a rhetorical question?

Thanks guys and gals, I appreciate your input. I've been leaning towards eWallet for the alpha-numeric password capabilities. Thanks again.

Just a reminder/clarification, PasswordSafe is free and allows for alphanumeric password generation as well (I initially passed on it until I realized it did generate passwords for you).

Password Safe looks a lot like another desktop freeware app I've been using for a longtime called Whisper.

Whisper has a nicer interface and a few extra features (you can put in a URL and link to a site, and the password generator has a template, for instance).

The only problem with Whisper is that there's no PPC version and the author doesn't plan to add one, AFIK. It would be great if the developers for PasswordSafe could add the ability to import Whisper database files (or vice versa).

That would mean that I could use either version on the desktop and still use either version on the desktop and use PasswordSafe on the PPC.
