Sprite Backup

For those that don't know! if you have Sprite Backup installed and plan to totally backup your Axim, there is some steps you should follow.

1. Remove Axim from cradle

2. connect power if battery is low.

3. Soft reset Axim

4. Then run Backup.

The reason for this is that if you don't reset ActiveSync is still in memory even if you closed it. This was seen, when I requested the backup report after backup. It said that certain ActiveSync files were in use and not backed up.

Otherwise this is a great program, and this is not in any way the fault of Sprite Backup, but of Windows Mobile.

Not sure I would consider this to be a problem since the AS files are hard coded in the ROM. If you are doing a backup of everything to your pc then AS will be needed anyway. Has this caused some sort of problem for you or are you just basing this on the report? So far the only program that I have found to be a problem for me is ICbar which must be shut down manually before doing a backup via wifi or it just reboots. Love this program!

Never have had to do what joelw135 suggested and I backup almost daily. I just place my Ax in the cradle and click on the tray icon and we're off and running.

I only said that because, when I did a backup and didn't have the stop processes selected, it said all files were not backed up.
