Pocket Mechanic....which one?

Was looking at the above utility and noticed that there seem to be two Pocket Mechanic's for PPC. One is by Anton Tomov and the other by Omega One. They each seem to be pretty much the same...is that right?

For those that have used these is there a difference or are they essentially the same product?

I was wondering that, too. I think the one connected-to Omega One (with a fancier logo on www.handango.com) may be a bit newer--per the listed release date. That's the one I downloaded. The version I just updated to today was 1.46 (at the www.pocketgear.com site).
As an aside, once you buy it, you can just download a newer/updated "trial" version and it will install over the registered version you already have.
It is a pretty good program. I wish I bought it before I bought SpaceReclaimer (also a good program), as Pocket Mechanic seems to have a nice clean-up feature, along with all the others.

I think they are both the same. I just reinstalled Journal Bar and there is a demo of Pocket Mechanic by Anton Tomov bundled with it.

On Antons site ver 1.45 is the newest. But when I installed the one on Pocket Gear it said that Pocket Mechanic was already installed do I want to reinstall, I did and it upgraded to 1.46. The other company bought the rights to brand it themselves.

I recently purchased Pocket Mehcanic. When I look back at my Handango purchase, I noticed that they charged me for 2 versions. I sent them an email inquiring as to why I was charged for the app and the upgrade. I believe I am currently @ ver. 1.44. Overall, I love the app.

A little bit of news, if you install the latest version (1.47) the about screen in Pocket Mechanic will still say 1.46. The developer forgot to update the about screen. Also no need to remove and reinstall, just install over top of old registered version. That was straight from Anton's help forum.

Oh well, I had to update my e-mail at pocketgear (waiting for reply), and pocketland is in german. So I guess I'll wait a while and try again.

Thanks for that info. I uninstalled and reinstalled about 4 times before I just decided to live with my "1.46" version, despite the fact that I kept installing 1.47. Hopefully, 1.48 will address this "problem."

1.46 and 1.47 are the exact same application. When you install 1.47 it still says 1.46 do to a error by the developer.

Yep, anton admitted it himself on the forum ;-). Said he wasn't going to bother fixing it and having to re-upload the app. Will be fixed in 1.48!!. I love this app. It is on my "Must have PPC list!!
