How well does PPX (Skin/Theme program) run off of an SD card? I have a X5 basic, and am using about 1/2 my ram as storage and 1/2 as program memory. If I move PPX over to my SD card, a 256, will it slow down the PPX program? Or will having more memory availbile as program memory offset any such disadvantages?

install ppx cab to main mem,but when after u install a ui it will ask where to save it, i made a folder on my sd called ppx config i just point it to save there. i have 8 ui,s installed there and they don't take up main memory.

Heh, well that is how I currently have it run, I just wanted to check to see.

I like the idea of switching UIs, I have several that I downloaded and like, but I have to set each of them up first before I start switching around.

What do you mean by "set up"?

In some PPX interfaces, today plugins (such as Journal Bar) may be referenced, but you might not have that plugin on your handheld. Also - some of the program lnks may be pointing in the wrong place for your device. For example- I installed the Darksilver UI yesterday and found that the link for Explorer was pointed to the lame microsoft thing, so I edited it to point to Resco File Explorer in my Built-In Storage. Every interface, will need tweaking of one sort or another.

Okay, cool. I have noticed on the demo that certain shortcuts don't work. I'm curious though, how do I fix the link to "RUN"? Or the one to "Settings" Where do they point anyway?

You can, only it wouldn't be showen in the "switch" I tried it out with my bought version. I am waiting for that option to install themes on one of my cards. Storing in main "eats" up my memory.

I figured out how to fix the shortcuts to RUN and SETTINGS. The way I did it was by tapping and holding and then tapping properties on the dead link. I then navigated to Program Files and went under PPX Demo. Inside of that folder are most of the links to things like RUN. All I did was tap on the one to set the broken link to and it worked! If any of you know a better way to do this please share.

P.S.-how do you "browse" to the right location on a storage card when switching. When I go to switch it just brings up a list of skins to choose from and that's all.

The skins in the switch are already installed. If you install and new skin you have to point out (browse) *from* where you want the skin to be installed and where *to* (browse) it has to be installed.

Use the option "install" in the same menu as "switch" is located
