Hi ... as a newbie and a person who can't leave software alone ... I was tinkering around somewhere on my Axim x3i and saw the name of my machine was something totally generic. So i changed it.
Now I can't synch any more - it started with something from active synch saying something like - i had to put in the right name - ao i tried to remember the generic name - fine - now i am a guest.... I cant seem to get another shot at it either ... any suggestions from the crowd? TIA - Tom PS - This website and forum is awsum - Thanks to all responsible ![]() | |||||

I had that happen on my X5 and had to delete the partnership from my ActiveSync and reconnect. I bet there is another way to do this without starting all over. If you look at your active sync partnerships(accounts) it should tell you the name of it.

KLappDOgg is right, it sounds like you need to go into ActivSync on your desktop and delete the partnership, then plug your Axim back in and create a new partnership. Before your plug your Axim back in, change it's name to whatever you like.
