Help! Activesync quit working......
my activesync is not working...it quit yesterday....it seems like it just doesn't "see" that it is connected. at first I thought there might be something wrong with the connector on the bottom (i charged two days ago at work with a sync cable, and the cable got bent while it was in the charge.) However, it still wouldn't sync via wi fi either so I am not sure if the port got damaged or what. I tried reinstalling activesync and now it still doesn't read that it is there. I tried a different USB port and a different USB cable and still no luck... any ideas would be greatly appreciated....

Have you tried a hard reset, then restoring your backup or reinstalling your programs. Had it happen to me, can't recall why (I think I knew at the time, I had pulled a really big boo-boo). Anyway, to get activesync working again, I did a hard reset, restored my Sprite backup and viola', I was in business again. Someone smarter than myself may come up with a better, simpler way so hold off for a couple of hours and see what other answers come in and good luck!

Try doing a soft reset on the PPC. And make sure that Activesync is running on it. I found if you start Activesync on the PPC, sometimes it will work.

I have had this problem twice. Both times the only way out was a hard reset.

Do a backup now. Then a soft reset. Then try to sync again. You sure don't need the PC for a backup.
Maybe I missed your point, but I think it's that easy. | |||||
