I am a student that need to take notes for different classes.
So far I don't even know how could those people take notes with their laptop? Not even with a mouse. I know that some people use microsof Tablet. That might be easier, since you can still write. For example, on my math class, I can type the question with keyboard? but how about those illustrations and small notes?? I tried the notes taking software on PPC itself, but I don't know how to covert it into my desktop? IMO, if I can covert the file into my desktop, that should be fine. I can use wireless keyboard to type paragraphs and use the stylus pen. And that's just my assumption too! So do you guys have any experiences on this kind of softwares?? Even the softwares on laptop is fine? Since I use both my axim and laptop at school! Thanks so much for your opinions and suggestions. Could anybody give me a hand? I serached in the forum last night but I found the support is not enough, like I found out the notes could sync with outlook but I don't know whether that's easy or not. And I really need some more opinions. Thanks.

I personally did not find my axim to be useful when it came to heavy note-taking. I relied predominately on my laptop to take notes.
I'm not sure how you could effectively take math class notes (with all the complex equations) on either a PPC or a PC. For all other classes, my advice would be continue using your laptop for taking notes, then transferring the files (in MS word format, for instance) to your axim for easy reference and mobility (if you hate lugging your laptop around with all your other heavy textbooks like I did).

New Beta of Note Taking Software
Software is like Microsoft OneNote but integrates with the PPC. I've signed up for it. Evernote is avaliable now .It doesn't have all the bells and whistles yet, but looks good so far. Download a trial of Phatpad. It has PC and PPC interfaces. This may suit your purposes. I use Phatpad and PhatNotes. No real major complaints. There is note taking Software for Students called GoBinder Aso Google for "note taking software"

Wow, thanks for you guys' suggestions and ideas. I am not gonna buy a tablet, I tried to use it before and it seemed not that useful. And I am not willing to ignore my laptop and my PPC and PALM... hehe... Thanks so much again! I think I will try the one note later on

I take heavy notes, and up to this year I used my laptop and OneNote. Since I got my X5 the laptop hasn't been to school once. No need for it at all, the Axim w/ external keyboard and Word is perfect for notes. I have a system of folders set up for each class and title each file by class and date.
