"Find" program needed

This may answered here somewhere but I could not find it. On my NX80 (Palm), I use a program called findhack. It searchs entire system or PIM for all instances of words. This is something I could use to search my pda. Anyone know of something like this? Thanks in advance.

thinking... just not too clearly I guess. Must've been all that hacking.

Start | Find is quite useful. I like the Find function in TotalCommanderCE better for files/text in files, as it's like the Find function on a PC. But it won't search databases. Use the native Find program for that.

Thanks for the tips for using the built in "Find", but this does not solve my issue. Thanks again for the answers.

The program I've used on my Sonys:

I think this is a valid issue. If I'm right, the built-in find does not search the entire axim. Mostly the my documents, and such.

I think this is the way Windows CE was set up.

\My Documents, \My Documents\OneSubFolder, \SD Card\My Documents.... etcetera. It penetrates any root My Documents folder to one sub-folder depth, in main memory or a file store or a hard drive or any storage card. A bit limiting, but no more so than the list views of Pocket Word or Pocket Excel or any other Microsoft PPC program. If you need more, use a third-party app. Tascal Tools offers one. Resco Explorer does the job. TotalCommanderCE, as I said, is one of the best. There are a few standalone Find programs available, most being freeware. Google and forums are great resources when seeking programs or functionalities.
