Mcafee Antivirus PDA 1.0 Installation Problems

WTF - I cannot register my software. I cannot update the software. Mcafee's chat system is terrible. What do I need to do?

The best solution would be to uninstall the POS. You don't need AV software, and there are free alternatives, in any case.

There are now two viruses that can infect our pocket PCs.

Hate to tell you but anything that MacAfee makes is worthless, I have seen too many computers go down in flames because of their software, wait for the PC-Cillin software, I use at home and work, great stuff and works well, small footprint and not a resource hog.

Had the same problem here, would get error when following emailed link to update and register. I contacted Dell and they requested some info from me IE: Cust#, Order# and mailing address. Once they had that info they replied that they were sending me new CD setup for my account and that I need to send old one back with supplied pre-paid mailer. I figured they setup everything with McAfee and hopefully I won't have any problems next go around. I had heard that Dell and McAfee were having some problems communicating! With a couple of PPC viruses now popping up, hopefully I will be ready. Hope this helps you out.
