Backup Program: Will SK Tools work?

I just got my X30 low and it's charging. So I'm trying to make decisions about essential programs. From reading in the forums, I know that a backup program is recommended vs. the one in the OS. I've read a lot of positive comments about Sprite as a backup program. My question is whether the backup feature in SK Tools is sufficient for this purpose. If not, why? From the description of the program it does a lot beside backup, which is why I'm interested in it. Any comments about the ease of use of this program are welcome too. Thanks.

Sprite Backup best

Even though SKTools has a good backup program, I still prefer Sprite for the following reasons:

1. Backups can be EXE files so that a restore from hard reset can be done without loading Sprite.

2. Multiple Backups on Storage Card. Sprite handles file naming. I backup daily, so if for some reason a backup is bad, I can use the previous backup.

3. Backup to PC. Additional safeguard.
Been there. Done that. Can't remember.

Thanks for your response. You listed 3 good reasons. Is SK Tools unable to do any of these, particularly backing up to a PC? That would be a significant drawback.

Yes, SK does not support the features that Bud listed. I personally don't care about the Backup to PC feature. I have Sprite Standard, so I just manually copy my executable backup files over to my PC. I don't like backing up while connected because ActiveSync is running. I much prefer to have as many processes as possbile closed when I do my backups.
Best Regards,

Wooch

Never used SKTools. However, both have a trial to run your own comparisons.
