Anything better than SPB Pocket PLUS

i'm looking for a program similar to SPB Pocket Plus. anyone have a good alternative? I'm kinda disappointed w/ it. Doesn't start always and can never get into the tools area. I loved it at first but need something maybe simpler that will give me a Battery Display somewhere on the main screen.

Throw the ideas at me please. if u have screenshots please include so i can get a glimpse.

I have SPB pocket plus and it has always started. You may have to try reloading it and make sure it's in main memory. It also can display the battery in at least two ways. One way is a line at the top of the screen and the second is an icon that you can put on your today screen.

I also use pocket plus, it's a nice program. if you have Wisbar Advance, it also shows the battery and memory in the top right corner of the start bar. it's overkill in my case because I use both and I have 2 battery meters. the Wisbar meter is a little small tho.

Battery Pack is another one I've used, it also shows the battery meter in the start bar. its similar to pocket plus, but I thought it too much space on the today screen.
You know how when someone lays with their back to you and you lay behind 'em really close and you throw one arm over 'em?
it's called "spooning".
yea, but you gotta put the other arm somewhere. you can either lay on it or shove it in between your bodies; the only other option is to stretch it above your head. but sometimes my arm pops out of socket when I'm sleeping like that. so I was constantly searching for some place to keep my arm, while still laying close to her.
and?
what do you mean 'and'?! that's like a metaphor for a whole relationship.

I'm disappointed with PocketPlus. The PIE extensions are buggy and unstable - replaced this with ftxPBrowser (free). The task manager functionality is not quite enough - I've replaced that with magic button (free). I don't need the file explorer add-ons, because I don't use the default file manager.
So, the only thing I'm getting is nice looking battery/memory meters and an app launcher - both of which could be replaced with free stuff.
I used to really like this app, but as time goes by, I'm finding it sub-par.

I don't know what pocket plus does but I use Battery Pack 2004 for batt/mem info and as a launcher. It's nice and configurable.

Cheers

I recently stopped using SPBPP as well, basically It cant be installed anywhere else but the main memeory, I found by not using it, my x50v sped up considerably. Magic button is a nice task manager to substitute for SPBPP task managing capabilities.

spbpp is not yet x50v compatible although this is planned for the next release. I am currently trying wisbar but this locks up when you use connections screen...

Well I went ahead and got wisebar and a few other themes. I really like that it simplified everything BUT, any theme I ran always caused a problem w/ closing out of the Dell WLAN util page. I can enable Wifi but when i went into configure something i had to Soft Reset myself out. Darn cause i was really liking it. So next step, I got Battery Pack 4. Not as nice, but got the info I want. Installed the Journal bar for Battery Pack4, liked the weather channel, Stocks didn't work. So I killed it. Had to un-install the whole package then only install Battery Pack4 again. Now I just want a nice little weather bar.
I'll keep you all informed

Just Bought Pocket Weather. Sweet! I've used Agent Fusion but looking for something simpler. My calendar is good enough but i like the Contact part of Agent. Have to re-install and see if thats all i could use. Anyone know if thats possible to configure? Just want to use Agent Fusions contact manager.
thanks

I've found Wisbar Adv 2 to be buggy. Batery Pack Pro has worked well for me as a program launch and task manager. There are of course many programs like it.

I don't like the SPB plugin for PIE nearly as much as Reensoft PIE Plus v1.2. Reensoft is about to release a new version. It's due, because 1.2 has been out for nearly a year.

I know Pocket Informant allows you to specify whether it is the default PIM or not. If you tell it not to be the default PIM, then I think you can set the Calendar hardware button to open Pocket Outlook's calendar, and the Contacts button to open Pocket Informant. I haven't tried this though.

I like using iLauncher in Auto-Minimized mode. It adds shortcuts on the lower taskbar and also a battery showing how much juice you have left which change colors as you go down in charge. It doesn't show you the percent, though. But you can press its icon and see the memory/battery details.

As for the other features of SPB Pocket PLUS, I don't know. For the task manager, the built-in Switcher works fine for me (Just make sure you copy the link over to the Start Up folder so that it is ALWAYS on even when you do a soft reset).
