Pocket Mechanic v1.50 released

I saw a new version of Pocket Mechanic on PocketGear this morning. It's supposed to support more storage cards and have speead improvements, according to the Pocket Gear site. You can download it here: http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=12178

Beware: After installing it over my previous version (1.49), my device did a hard-reset. Fortunately, I backed-up yesterday.

Doesn't seem like a major release. Some claimed speed improvements and more cards are supported.

I also installed the trial over a registerred copy of 1.49. So far no problem. So far no hard reset.

Make sure to install it in main memory (per the instructions.)

I didn't read the instructions and just installed over my existing version which was on my storage card... no issues so far.

Install and use the trial for a while. I use MemMaid, SKTools, and Pocket Mechanic, and believe it or not, I use them all for different things. I believe the cleaners (registry and file) and SD card tools in Pocket Mechanic are excellent.
Best Regards,

Wooch

Hey Wooch, did you see that SKTools has a new release? You turned me onto it, and it's my favorite utility program now.

I just installed the new version onto my SD card. It worked fine for me, even after I tried to use it. Not sure why some of you are having troubles.

Here goes... I hope I don't hard reset on this one. It's Friday and I don't want to spend it reloading the Ax.

One quick question. I bought mine on Handango. If I install this will I have to pay for it again? The link you gave me is Pocket Gear and Handango doesn't appear to have the new copy yet.

I don't think this will be a problem. It should install over your previously registered copy and not require a new code. If you do have any problems, you can email the developer.
