Hi MannyG,
why would you like to use another email programme than Pocket Outlook if you want to use an POP3 email account? Pocket Outlook allows you to download emails from a POP3 server. Just recently I set up an Gmail account and I am quite happy with it. @ALL:I have 8 Gmail invitations. Drop me an PM if you are interested in being invited.

Please provide a guide for setting up gmail in PocketOutlook. I have read many reports of this not working, and I'd like to set it up.

Okay, there is one serious issue:
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=69128 Nevertheless, to set up Gmail, I did the following (just did it again after the ROM update): Firstly, configure Gmail 1. Go to http://gmail.google.com/ 2. Sign in 3. Go to settings 4. Go to the tap "Forwarding and POP" 5.a Tick "Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on" 5.b Well I am not sure, whether it is important, but then I also enabled "When messages are accessed with POP archive Gmail's copy" 6. Sign out from Gmail Then configure the PDA: 7. Start - Programs - Messaging 8. Click on "Accounts" 9. Click on "New Accounts" 10. Enter your email address (e.g. torsten.pda@gmail.com) (Skip the auto configuration by clicking on "Next" - Sorry forgot this first) 11. Enter user information 11.a Your name: Enter your name (e.g. Torsten) 11.b User name: Enter your email-address again (e.g. torsten.pda@gmail.com) 11.c Password: ******* (e.g. 1234567890 - this is not my password )11.d Tick the option "Save password", if you want. 11.e Click on "Next" 12. Enter account information 12.a Account type: POP3 12.b Name: Name the account (e.g. Gmail_PDA) 12.c Click on "Next" 13. Enter Server information 13.a Incoming mail: pop.gmail.com 13.b Outgoing mail: smtp.gmail.com 13.c Enter "Options" 13.d I did not do anythig unter "Options (1/3)"; Connection says "The Internet" 13.e Click on "Next" 13.f Tick "Require SSL connection" 13.g Tick "Outgoing mail requires authentication 13.h I selected "Get full copy of messages" 13.i Click on "Finish" This should work now. If you send yourself an email to the Gmail account that you want to access via POP3 from your Axim, then you should be able to download it. 14. Put your Axim into the cradle (Activesync should open) 15. Go to "Messaging" 16. Select the new POP3-Account 16.a Click on "Accounts" 16.b Click on the new POP3-Account (e.g. Gmail) 17. Connect Axim with Gmail 17.a Click on "Accounts" 17.b Click on "Connect" 17.c Monitor the messages from the Axim 18. Read your test email! Unfortunately, you have to tell Gmail from time to time again, to forward only new emails from now on via POP3... this is a bit annoying... You realize this, when your PDA claims, that there would be something wrong with the set up... Then it is your turn to remind Gmail to forward only new mails. I hope, I did not miss any important step.
