I broke down and bought Pocket breeze. So far I am a little dissapointed. I figured staying with the same company for all today plugins would help with integration. I do not like the scrollbar on the right side to pop up so I make the font size smaller on the pocket breeze but then I cannot see very many tasks, is there anyway to make the pocket plus and weather take up less space?????

Also when I add an appointment for a future date on the calender it sets the appointment but then when you go back and look at the calender there is nothing there, no color change to let you knwo you have anything that day. Is this correct????

A couple opf things:

Pocket Plus isn't made by SBSH

Can you post a screen shot - sp we can see what you mean by not many tasks - there are a number of ways to get more info on the screen - and if we/ I can see how you currently have it set-up I can be of greater help.

With regard to the appointment - do you Category filters set-up? I would think that it is not being shown as the category you assigned (or none) isn't included in the filter you have showing in PB.

Also what calendar do you mean when you say "no color change"

Cannot due a screen shot, I am at work. Spb SBSH there all the same right?

What I mean by not showing many appointments is that the pocket plus and the weather sections on the today screen are to big and there is no way to adjust how much real estate that they take up. I can adjust the pixel height on the pocket breeze but the only way to get them all to fit on the screen without having to scroll is to make it the smallest it can be, with this I can only see one appointment. What I need to know is how or if you can adjust the pixel height on the pocket plus and weather.

As far as the calender goes here is waht I did. I tapped on the litte calnder icon on the left side of the today screen, highlightd the date and selected set new appointment. It let me put in an appointment time and date and save. Then when you go back to the main calender view, there is nothing that shows me I have something set for that day? No color change or little check mark, nothing. What good is this program if I have to remember what days I have something set for so I can click them to see when to go.

PocketBreeze has a setting to tell it how many pixels high it needs to be, also you can tweak the fonts a little bit more....I would also fiddle with the layout of each day and appoinment, it enables you to get more on one line. Give that a shot....it took a bit of tweaking for me to get it where I wanted(I wasn't thrilled the first day I had it either).

SPB pocket plus size is completely dependant on how you have items set up in it. If you have five lines of large icons then that will set the heigt of all its tabs. If you want to shrink it use one line of small icons per tab which will give you its smallest possible configuration. If you dont have enough room for what you need like this, then you can create more tabs for the rest.

You could also install weather into PocketBreeze's custom tab which would also save you a lot of room on your today screen.

 

First, it seems a little harsh to blame PB for your other Today screen plug-ins taking up too much room

With regard to the calendar pop-up.

This feature was added so users can quickly enter information on a specific day or choose to show specific days/ periods in the main window- it is not meant to highlight days etc (as you see in desktop Outlook).

You can highlight days and they will appear in the main window (it also has settings for 1 day/ 1week etc). You can then see the appointments you have on the main Today screen.

The reason for this is that to highlight all days etc PB would have to read the whole of your calendar information - which would slow PB down too much.

Remember PB is designed to be a today screen window into your main PIM - not a PIM itself. Although a lot of users decide that PB is so functional that they don't need an additional PIM such as Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion.

Thx for the info on the calender that makes more since, I was not really aware this was jut a plugin and not a replacement PIM but know that it is for quick input makes since. I was not blaming breeze for anything, I was wondering if I could change the others, if anything I like how changeable breeze is.

How do I go about changing the icons to small size and one row????

I have no idea how you have spb configured and whether you have more than one tab, Icon size can be changed by holding your stylus on the button you wish to configure until a popup menu appears which near the bottom will have a choice of large icon either checked or unchecked, if it is checked, uncheck it. If you need more tabs, hold your stylus on a tab until the popup menu appears and select new tab.

As to the one row just move excess icons to a new tab till you only have one row of icons in that tab. either autoarrange or manually arrange the icons in one row.

I'm terribly sorry for getting here so late so many things that I try and track which makes it sometimes too hard.

Currently, with PocketBreeze 4.3, our main goal is to be a PIM front-end, so you don't have too much control functions that allow you to change details with your information, but I'm glad to say we are working these days on a major change in the monthly popup calendar that will allow you to view details about each day too

In addition, next update that will be out in 2-3 days will have some great new additions that allow you to swiftly change your appointments and tasks information. Here is a quick tease screenshot from my internal version....
