Calendar which shows monthly appointments as text

Pocket Informant really has only one option which I like. It is a calendar month view that show daily appointments with text. Are there any freeware that does this also? I have seen other calendar programs which offer a month view but only with icons. Other programs give a list of appointments but not in a calendar format.
Any ideas?
