Wifi Administration-Realtime Traffic

Hopefully someone can help. I just got my Axim x30 today (woohoo), and I'm looking for software. What I need is something that will enable me to administer multiple wifi networks. I'm hoping for something that would show signal strength in real time. Graphing would be a plus. If the prog showd info about the AP associated to, that would be cool.

Any help is much appreciated.

I have tried WifiGraph and WiFiFoFum
Wifigraph crushes my wireless NIC, makes it not work. Is this common??

just keep trying different apps until you find one that works.
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=81092 sounds promising, have you tried ministumbler or PocketWinC? Those are good programs.. or pocket warrior. I dont have any experience with the x30 so I dunno what works with it.

when you state "real time traffic" are you refering to an Etheral Packet Sniffer type app? I think there is VxSniffer and CEniffer. There is a Airscanner Mobile sniffer but that doesnt work with 2003.
Sniffers of course show EVERYTHING that floats by... was scary to see things like the reporting that my X5 was a 400mhz x5 adv, runnning 2002, with ... and the name of the unit floating to the routers...

a sniffer would be great, I'll look up those 2 software packages. What I'd love to have in a perfect world is something that would show real-time signal strength, maybe in a graph. VERY similiar to WiFiGraph, but it doesn't work on x30

Take a look at Cirond's PocketWinC software, it will give you all of that...and more. You can get it at pocketgear.com or handango.com....great product...BUT, the X30 has a problem with its Wi-Fi signal driver (according to Cirond)!!!! I also want ACCURATE signal strength statistics, but the X30 won't send the right info....I tried to get Dell to help me fix the problem, but its like pulling teeth. I would suggest you verify that your device truly has the same problem (try putting your x30 up close, within an inch or two, and then a few feet away, and notice if your signal strength information is accurate.....if not, you should report it to Dell..perhaps if enough x30 users report the problem, they will fix it.

WiFiFoFum seems to actually show the DB statistics for my X50.. typically it would just show 0% or 100%.. but WIFIFOFUM actually does change.
