Nice little program

Saw this at http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=17943

and thought I share it with you guys. It's FREE and works great with the x50v. I like the fact that I can look at the left and see where the battery is no matter which program I'm in. Wish there were more options like "battery line" which cost $5.00 but does not work with the x50v. Anyway, check it out and try it.

There is SKMenu (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=16984). It does much more than just show the battery line (like Spb PP), but it has that feature as well. In fact, that's one of the reason's I bought it. There's also a 20% off coupon at Pocketgear until tomorrow (?) if you type in THEFORCE at checkout.

Is this an ad or a mention of a good program? Have you seen Magic Button? It has a nice battery line(comes next to the "X")...and it's free...and it works with the X50v.

Not sure if you're directing this at my post, or at New2Dells.

If at mine, it's no add. It's a response to the earlier post.

Thanks for the SKMenu app, I like it so far. I was going to find a launch app that would place the icons at the bottom and this app has it! Thanks.

No problem. Like SKTools, it's a powerful app, but it has a lousy interface. I'm still trying to figure out how to configure SKMenu to play nicely with HandyLanch and HandyMenu and Wisbar Advance 2. I like lots of launching/menu options assigned to various hardware buttons.

Hey Choirguy,

Could you explain what you mean by "a nice battery line(comes next to the "X")"? I don't see any battery indication at all, and if it is a feature of magic button that I could turn on I'd love to know how.

Thanks!

xdalaw...it was directed to New2Dell, whose continued responses indicate that it wasn't an "ad" thread. I've seen too many situations where someone will type, "Have you seen this program," and it's really just an ad (i.e. forum spam).

rmb, while the "house" is displayed on the today screen, tap and hold until the menu comes up, and activate the battery meter that Jukov has shown an example of. I really like the application for all that it does...for free. Closing programs with the X and a battery meter...the two most important functions on the PDA for me.

Hey Choirguy and Jukov,
Thanks so much for letting me in on that battery meter. This makes me wonder how many other nice things I'm missing out on just because I have no clue!
Thanks again for the pointer,
RMB

Thanks Choirguy. That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. I agree with your point, though, and I hate vaguely worded thread titles, too.
