Move Help files to SD card?

I continually try to clean up my memory and while I was looking in my Windows folder I realized that I had over 2mg of help files loaded on my device. I know I could just move them or delete them but I do occassionally use them and was wondering if there is a registry edit to allow help to find these files in another location?

No registry edit AFAIK, but in the Help dir are some shortcuts. You could always edit them to point elsewhere. But i simply move the files to my CF card and forget about them.

Thanks for the info, I rarely use the help files myself, but every now and then I use a program function and would like quick access to the help so if its an easy fix to point everything in the right direction I'd rather do it.

I've created my own help files that reside on a storage card. It works fine except for images. For some reason, peghelp looks for them in \windows folder.

I now use HTML files where each page has a hyperlink to a Table of Contents and Master Index. Master Index has hyperlinks to seperate index html files(indexa.html,etc). Use IE to read the files.

To move and use the help files to a storage card, you would have to mass edit the hyperlinks and anchors. Remove the image links.
Also, you would have to update the help shortcuts to point to the storage card location.
Been there. Done that. Can't remember.

I use them pretty rarely, but since I install almost everything to a 1gb sd card I've gone a little nuts with the installs. I must have 70 programs installed on my HP5555 (which isn't as bad as it sounds, I still have over 90mb free in memory) some of which I only use very occassionally, so if I loaded a particular program because it allows me to unzip a RAR file, but only need to use it once every five months, I might not remember how to use a particular option in it and would use the help file then.
