anybody having probs w/ Resco browsing shares???
are all of you able to browse Windows-based network shares using Resco Explorer?
i have the latest version (5.14-something), and whenever i select map drive, i get an error that says that the network is neither available or may not have sufficient privileges... as in duh!?!anyway, this got me thinking ----> could it be because the first time that i setup Resco for windows shares, i may have mistakenly entered the wrong login information... if this were the case how would i change it? i have been searching here and there, and still couldnt find how to change the login info for Resco Explorer (for browsing shares)... the funny thing is ----> i am quite able to browse windows shares through the PPC's built-in File Explorer... im able to Cut, Copy, and Paste with it... as, in duh!?! can anyone somehow enlighten me on this? ![]() thanks...

![]() however, no offense meant to you but more to Resco (this is meant more as having a record of how we may solve this problem) ---> there are lots of inconsistencies in this FAQ... as an example, 8.7 talks about the problem ive been experiencing - but why talk of BlueTooth? also, it never gave any solution... as for 8.5 which talks about a wrong login id - i did what was said to no avail... it seems to be a very RANDOM way to solve the problem... nevertheless, based on the link that you have provided, and some tinkering on my own - i think (hoping that you could also try it, if possible) that this is more on a BUG in Resco Explorer... i find that this has to do when one has the "Show Network as a My Networkroot" (can be found in the Add-In Options) - and LOTS of problems just keep popping up, even no matter the account information is right or wrong... BUT, when the "Show Network as a Network folder under My Device" then everything works A-OKAY!!! the only question remains (though not important) is "why?" nevertheless, thanks a lot for driving along the right direction... PS: and now i can listen to MP3 shared from the local desktop... ![]()
