Hmm... I think it may be time for a backup, hard reset, test and restore

I'm not sure I understand...why would you hard reset before you test? Can't wait to try this new version, myself!

Just installed on my x50v and its thrown up a white vertical bar in middle of screen like a whole line of dead pixels.

After a homer simpson like scream ( my axim has dead pixels ) opened up some other apps and they're not dead - just dead in wisbar advance.

Other than that its pretty cool - got VGA/Hires skin included.

Not specifically related. I bumped up against ram limitation the other night while surfing and realized I need to reconsider some of my installs (MAIN vs. BIS vs. SD/CF). This is just a good excuse as I don't trust any program's upgrade/uninstall utilities. Stuff gets left behind. What can I say, I am a neat freak. (and don't forget, I am new at this so I tend to do some things the long way until I am totally comfortable with how everything is interacting)

Just a note......
Old versions should definitely be uninstalled before installing this new version.
Also, older Themes may not work or may not support all of the new features.

Good point on the themes. I hadn't considered that.

Why wouldn't they work though? Anybody know? (more curiosity regarding how these things work than anything that will change what I intend to do)

The old themes for version 1 have to be converted (inside of wisbar) before they will work. The older wisbar 2 themes will work fine, they just may not skin all the elements that the new wisbar has. Plus, you can now install themes on you SD or CF cards, just create a directory and tell wisbar where it is.
