App to temporarily turn off sound?

Has it ever happened to you that you miss reminders and alarms because you turned off the sound for a meeting, and then forgot to turn it on again afterwards?

Well that happens to me too darn much. I wonder if anyone's heard about an app that lets my PPC shut up for a predefined period of time. That way I can tell it to shut up for an hour or 90 minutes, and I don't have to think about turning the sound back on after the meeting.

I've used MeetingMute and it works well. I'm looking for something that will allow me to mute the volume for a specified period of time every day. For example if I want to listen to music at night and want the volume muted at 11pm and then un-mute at 5:30am. MeetingMute can do this but it requires setting up a recurring appointment in Outlook which works if I can't find something different. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it. I've searched this site and Google and found a few music players (TodayPlayer, GSPlayer, PocketPlayer, BetaPlayer) which all say they have sleep timers. However the internet music site I am connecting to has a file extension of .asf and none of these seem to be able to play it. Thanks

That's a good price but you're talking about streaming from internet sites so you need something to keep your connection active. There's a freeware app called KeepAwake(?),( maybe alive) that in conjunction with MeetingMute that should fix you right up.

HTH

SuperAlert lets you set which reminders will sound even if the system is muted.
http://www.pocketfillers.com

Your device will wake-up, un-mute, sound the alarm and then re-mute.

Clock, calendar, task, and 3rd-party alarms are all independantly adjustable.
