Question alarm doesn't go off -- SPB time

Have you guys use the SPB time? I just feel that the alarm always doesn't go off, hence it can't wake me up. I am really fed up with it. Anyone has a solution or recommend me another similar clock software? many thanks.

Welcome to the site. You asked a good question. There is a known problem w/ppc 2003 se. You need to install wakeup tweak. Also, read this thread and this sequence of threads for more info. Let me know if you need more help.

The wakeup tweak site at pocketpcfreewares claims that the same fix can be accomplished with a registry tweak, but they don't mention how.

Does anyone know the registry tweak to fix this bug?

I was having the same problem and switched the alarm from the default Alarm1 to Alarm2 and it works everytime (I use it extensively while traveling, don't trust hotel alarms).

Its not a fancy trick, but it works and no fooling with the registry.

By the way I have SPB Time and the alarm works great and with sound when the main alarm is changed. I just tried it to make sure. I used the default alarm with ascending volume.

I recommend pTravelAlarm.
It's really simple, it uses MP3, there's alot of alarm... really nice if you ask me. I feel like SPB Time is too bulky or something, you know, with the analog clock and the world map.. It's rather useless for people who does not go overseas..
So, yeah, pTravelAlarm. It works without the registry tweak. Very well, too.

in my experience i think Spb Time's alarms do go off (after i have used the alarm tweak)... however, i find it not LOUD enough NOR long enough to actually wake me up...

so, what i do is use an Alarm app that plays MP3 - i set it to the loudest to make sure it really WAKES ME UP

I have just upgraded to novii's WAWA alarm software (WAWA means WAke&WAtch). It's very funny and incredible: it's stated to be the only alarm clock software that apart from being a conventional alarm clock software will let my handheld turn on a TV or whatever to wake me up in the morning. I haven't found any bugs or anything yet. You can check it for yourself at novii's site www.novii.tv

why wouldn't you check the WAWA alarm software out? I like it so much that I recommend to download a trial to everyone.
