how do i create shortcuts and add them to my desktop?

i have an x30 with win mobile 2003, and for the life of me, i cannot figure this out. i hate having to go thru the file browser to open up i-guidance

You need what's called a "launcher" utility. Some popular ones include:

Tdlaunch
Claunch
Launcher
Spb Pocket Plus (has other features as well)

Moved to Utilities.

Just place them in your START menu....simply make a shortcut for the program you want to show in your start menu a place that shortcut inside of the start menu folder....path should be: My Device/Windows/Start Menu

Assign it to a Hardware button, the Home button is probably the least used.
