Question Saw this once for Palm: Holiday software

I once saw a Palm software that lists holidays of every sort (American and International) and puts them in your calendar automatically until 2012 or something like that (similar to this and this )....anyone know if there is such a thing for PPC? (Btw, I do NOT use Pocket Outlook)

Add the holidays to Microsoft Outlook on your desktop in the following way:

Tools | Options

Click Calendar Options.
On the Calendar Options dialog box, click Add Holidays.

SynC to you PDA, and the holidays will then be in your calender database (which is read by Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion)
Current PDA: Dell Axim X50v
Past PDAs: Palm IIIxe, Casio E125, Audiovox Maestro, Kyocera 7135

Hi,
Umm...not sure if you read my post all the way through, but... I don't use Outlook (can't actually, long story) and I want a program that lists holidays of different countries/religions for me that doesn't involve Outlook. Thanks for your help, though!

Trust me, I would, but I can't. It's a long story, but has a great deal to do with corrupt/missing files, bad/missing DLL's that will not allow it to be installed correctly, if at all. Like I said, long story. Suffice it to say that I have to make do w/out Outlook until I get a new computer one of these days. Thanks though!

Well I had a look... and most of the progs look dated (so I'm not sure that they include next years dates)

If I were you I'd find someones PC that has outlook on it. Create a new profile, Import the dates into outlook, Install Active sync, Sync once with that, then uninstall AS and remove the profile.

Bit of a pain, but as i said you'd only have to do it once

Actually, you said you don't use "Pocket Outlook." You didn't say anything about outlook on your desktop. Pocket Outlook is comprised of the ROM Application for Calendar and Contacts. A lot of us don't use Pocket Outlook (most use Agenda Fusion or Pocket Informant instead) but sync regularly with Outlook on the desktop.

People he said he can't.

That program for the palm isn't a program. Its a palm data base that someone put together. I think He put all the holidays into Palm desktop(the computer software thing like outlook) and saved it as a data base. I don't know that much about PPC's so I can't help you there.

Microsoft has instructions on creating an Outlook holiday file for the PC at <http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA010750021033.aspx> surely it can be adapted for your handheld if you use Pocket Outlook. [I don't.]

Those instructions will not help him at all if he does not want to use Outlook on the Desktop.

I think the best thing for you to do is either, get outlook working or setting aside a day for you to put it in by hand.
