Product Description: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/3295&cl=us,en

This cordless laser mouse is designed to be easily transported in a laptop case or small bag. Despite its relatively small size, it is easy to handle even with large hands. The mouse has some mass so it slides easily but doesn't run away or jiggle inadvertantly when the mousing surface is bumped.
The mouse communicates to the computer via a small USB dongle that slides into a slot on the bottom of the mouse for storage. When the dongle is stowed, it disables the power source to prevent battery loss.
The device performs it's initial setup as a USB mouse easily and subsequent connections are very fast.
The mouse provides a scroll wheel and side-to-side scrolling (with the logitech drivers installed)
Power is provided by a single AA battery which is expected to last for up to 6 months.
User experience: The device is very easy to use right out of the box without need for included drivers or any special setup. As it is intended for laptop use, the user needs to determine if they even want to use an external mouse. Most laptops have track pads or pointer sticks and after some getting used to them it should be sufficient for most people. However, typists and some others find that the track pad is hard to manage as their hands may brush the surface accidentally and throw the cursor. Disabling the track pad and using an esternal mouse is the typical easy solution for this issue. It feels solid, yet not so weighty as to be a concern for packing light.
PRO: Easy setup, compact yet comfortable. Inexpensive.
CON: The USB dongle can break or damage the USB port if left in the laptop and the laptop is placed back in the case or get lost . This is typical for dongles, not just this device.
Recomendation: This is a very nice little mouse and for the price it is recommended. The alternatives to this mouse would be either a BlueTooth travel mouse (more expensive) or a corded travel mouse (cords, not much cheaper)
