I won this book style case from cases.com in an Aximsite competition. I chose it primarily because in my gadget-saturated life I had run out of pockets and integrating my wallet with my handheld sounded appealing. I can honestly say that this case lived up to my expectations.

Features: This case is book style and fastens with a magnetic clasp. It has two pockets for SD cards, two slots for credit cards, and a removable insert for photo ID. Along the spine of the “book” is a pocket for a stylus. The PDA is held in place by two hooks on either side of it. The leather on my case was without blemish and the stitching was neat, and does not look as if it would come apart.

Pros: Being able to carry my wallet and my handheld together makes things much easier. Just the fact that this case has pockets for cards (which I have filled past capacity) gives it so much more utility. Additionally you will never forget to enter purchases into your finance software ever again. The SD card pockets seem very secure. The insert is made of a material that looks as if it were made to protect the screen from scratching.

Cons: I don’t think I can blame the manufacturer for this because I have way more cards in the case than it was designed for, but it is sometimes difficult to close, and the clasp will open when I attempt to put it in my pocket. The insert does not stay in the case very well because the tab by which it is held in place is too short. The stylus pocket holds my giant stylus (borrowed from my Palm Zire 31 RIP), but the case is difficult to close when using this.

Neutral: I never use belt clips so I can’t speak to whether or not they work well; however it is worth mentioning that the case is more open than a hard case, and when worn externally there may be a risk of your Axim or memory cards falling.
