Fascinated with MJ's life, are you Non? Don't assume that all Americans are like him. We're not really sure what happened there, but obviously, somewhere between the oxygen sleeping capsule and his insatiable desire to be around young boys, something went horribly wrong in his life. Did you know that, as a child, he was African-American? We're not really sure what race he was when he passed.

I believe he had regressed to the Pleistocene Era.

I think fascinated is the wrong word. I have about satiated my need for MJ information which is more than I would have said when I was 10. Indeed had that happened then I might be worth about $20M by now.

And how much are you worth now?

I must admit though, when I was 10, I was much more interested in Farrah Fawcett than MJ. Unfortunately, MJ's death has greatly overshadowed Farrah's....was he really that much more important?

FF, as I always knew her, was a bit old for me. Her younger sister, DD was more my age and fitted better in my brass band's.

Farrah was a bit old for me, too. But that never kept me from dreaming about her in my 'tween and teen years. She was an icon for those of us who grew up in the late 70's and early 80's.

I agree that is very unfortunate for FF that her passing has been overshadowed by the current circus going on . I am no MJ fan but it seems hypocritic for the press to bag him when he is alive then all of a sudden change story now he has passed.

Should we expect anything less of our impartial, trustworthy and caring press?

Would anybody watch the news or read the newspapers if they were impartial, trustworthy and caring?

I would but then I live in a society where freedom of speech is a right and is in fact legislated for. How do you manage without this in your backward country?

You'll be happy, Non, to know that freedom of speech is protected by the First Amendment in our Constitution. I must admit, though, that some who take advantage of said freedom of speech really need to shut up.*

Can't be much of a constitution if you've had to make amendments to it already. What other errors are there in the original document?

Would you believe that our Constitution has been amended 27 times to date? Not too shabby as we celebrate our 233rd year of independence wouldn't you say? How long has Scotland been an independent nation? What's that you say? You're still part of the United Kingdom?

Don't forget Great Britain, we're also part of that. And Europe. And the civilised world.

Who have you gained independence from anyway? Those fine bastions of all that is good in your neck of the woods, i.e. Canada, or Mexico, new or otherwise? Or perhaps the indigenous population? I nearly forgot about them.

I think congratulations are in order for a country that got their laws so right that over 233 years they have only had to amend them 27 times. We do that amount every month, keeping us at the forefront of what is considered civilised. But then you already know that.

Yes, we're quite independent from Canada and Mexico. The Indigenous People...I'm not too sure about. You see, we have Indian Casinos popping up all over the country and we're getting more and more dependent on them to feed our gambling habits. Honestly, I think it's a secret plot to take over the land which we stole from them fair and square.
