Well, I typing this from my new Dell Laptop I just inherited from work. It is a Inspiron 8600. Pretty well loaded I guess. But I am not diggin it at all. This is my first laptop andle I do not like the screen. I have always had the larger resolution on my desktop pc so it is easy to see. This wide screen on the laptop looks like crap at the larger screen resolution. The icons are horrible, and everything is tiny! I will have to get used to it I guess. It's wireless so getting on the internet from the kitchen is cool. Hope everyone is doin' alright!

A friend from school has the 8600 also from work. He has the WUXGA at 1920x1200, I think. I don't know how he can stand it on a 15" screen, but he likes the real estate.

I know how you feel, DSmith. When I bought my 700m one of the first things I did was change the resolution. I could hardly tell which program I was launching because the dang icons were so small!

I have my resolution set at 1024 x 768 right now and it seems to be pretty close to my desktop. The icon and some pictures look horrible though. But I need funtional more than visual.

Get a docking station and a nice monitor, that's what I do with my Latitude D800. I only use the laptops screen when I travel

Thats what I was tlaking about, the screen on the laptop actually looks good, but the monitor and docking station at work have terrible image quality. I am almost to the point of scrapping the monito altogether in favor of the laptop screen which is 15.4 anyway.
