You guys in the US are lucky!

Here in Norway, we pay around 70% taxes on our cars... and that makes cars with good engines cost insanely much...

I drove a Renault Megané 1.4, 2000 model until yesterday. I'm picking up a Mazda 6 1.8, 2002 modell next week.

At the moment I ride a Getane mountain bike ;)

I live here in Spain and my wife and I bought an Alfa Romeo 156...
4 cyliner - 1.6 litre - 125 horses...and drives/handles like a dream...You should hear the growl of this engine! Power could be better but...

I have the same problem as TopDog...we are taxed based on the engine size...not to mention a gallon of gas costs the equivilent of about $3.40... (€.80 per litre)

I would have bought the 6 cyl GTA but I wouldn't be able to drive it...

Prior to that we had a Nissan Micra 4 cyl - 1.0 litre - 80 horses (mules)...ACK!

Anybody know how to put picts under our names...Like the picture of bugs on the post before mine?

My username is a clue- I drive a Taurus SHO V8. I have a Taurus SHO V6 setting outside and my wife drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD (we can't take the taurus over the rough stuff in Colorado and Utah).

I also have a pair of Tesch 101 bikes.

Ford mondeo station GIA '01

The car was a loan to a big company here in Holland, to let them see how it drove AND with ALL the extra's! they drove in it for 6.500 kilometers and bought 45 off them, and returned the loan car to the dealer, and yes, you can guess>>>> I walked in at the same moment and felt inlove with the car, bought if for almost 30% of the price it used to sell for...

Then I went back to school and really couldn't afford it anymore so my dad bought it from me, but I can drive it all the time :D

I think its a good deal....
