Speaking as a bumping American who live in Hampshire for a while, we don't drink hot tea that often, sometimes at night. Some prefer it to coffee throughout the day but that's rare. Usually tea is consume as iced tea over here. In sunny and warm states we have sun brewed tea. This is usually done by taking a large glass container filled with water and a few tea bags and sitting it outside in the sun and forget about it for a few hours. Then you bring it in to cool off, add some sugar and put it in the refrigerator. These containers usually have a spout at the bottom so you can easily pour some out into a glass with ice. WOW a few more lines and I could add this to Wikipedia:)
