Should know that I am having some problems with birds doing what they do on my new car. I am not exaggerating when I say that I am cleaning off about 10 a day and am having to wash it every 2 days just to make sure that it is free from droppings. This was never a problem until recently so apart from planting a scarecrow in my drive and short of blasting them to oblivion - this is Scotland after all - does anyone have any tips on how to deal with errant birds?
Thank you in advance.

S/k I'm always happy to help.
Here is what you need to do. Find where they are sitting, to do what they do, and here is what you can do 1) take the sitting site down or chop it back. 2) Take a light board that you have put a bunch of nails in so that they stick out the other side. Place this board with nails pointing up where the birds like to sit and poop. The birds cannot sit here any more and will stop you know whating on your car.
If these birds are flying past and bombing your car, there is nothing you can do about it, other than buying a shotgun (which would be really really fun, or an air rifle/.22 and work on your aim.

It only hurt once, from beginning to end.
Peace means having a bigger stick then the other guy.
Loosing may do little to your credibility, but quitting will destroy it.
