S/K - That's a good idea. I check mine every ten days. :)

Should know that I'm just somewhat surprised over the readings :o

S/K - Depending on the time of day and what you're doing, it can jump around pretty good. If I take mine during the week, it's around 135/80. If I take it on the weekend, it's around 125/72. The Cardiologist says this is normal. :)

Should know that I usually take 3-4 readings with an interval of 5 minutes before breakfast and again before lunch

Edit: not lunch, but dinner
Sorry - my bad

S/K - That's very strange. I guess the Dr. wants you to do that to see if it changes over a short period of time. The most I ever had to do it was once an hour. :)

Should know that 3-4 readings are boiled down to an average just too minimize fluctuations.

S/K - I've never heard of doing it that way.

Should know that it's a common measurement practice called linear regression analysis, which is performed to obtain a quality estimate of those measurements.

S/K - Statistics is my strong point. In short, Linear Regression modeling is used more to predict results at a later time interval. Now, I could see using a curvelinear regression analysis. But, that's just my opinion. I'd have to research BP monitoring to get a better understanding. :exc:

Now - My head hurts.

Should know that in my view regression analysis is a method to see how (well/bad) a model fits to imperical data.

Interpolation usually works fine - but extrapolation should be performed with the outmost caution.

"Prediction is easy - except about the future"

S/K - That's what I've always loved/hated about statistics. Using different methods, you can make the results give you whatever you want.

S/K - That's most people's perspective.
